WFMU Listener Hour

This morning I woke up earlier than I ever do on a Saturday and headed over to WFMU to host the Listener Hour.  You can click here to listen for yourself.  And here's the playlist, if you'd like to follow along at home:

Them- I Keep Singing
The Pointer Sisters- Yes We Can Can
The Revolution of Saint Vincent- The Little You Say

Oxford Collapse- Young Love Delivers
Superchunk- Martinis On The Roof
Redd Kross- Peach Kelli Pop
The 1910 Fruitgum Company- Goody Goody Gumdrops
Tracey Ullmann- They Don't Know
Matthew Sweet- I've Been Waiting
Bruce Springsteen- Girls In Their Summer Clothes

Calexico- Two Silver Trees
Pernice Brothers- The Ballad of Bjorn Borg
Okkervil River- Unless It's Kicks

Barbara Lewis- Don't Forget About Me
Irma Thomas- Break-A-Way
Vampire Weekend- Mansard Roof

I think it went well.  Pretty pop-heavy, but hey, it's still summer.  I had a moment off panic during the Redd Kross song because I thought I might have accidentally aired a curse.  I blame it on the DayQuil I took beforehand to alleviate my allergy symptoms.  That stuff's nuts.  All the fogginess of NyQuil, but the coma's replaced with caffeine-y jitters.  Great!

I think you're correct Mike. We'll see...

Thanks, Colleen! I think my regular voice has improved since then as well.
