Lampin'.

Oh, hey there. Long time, no blog.

I did a DJ night at my local dive bar last night. Here's what I played:

Sax Rohmer #1- The Mountain Goats
Do Ya?- The Move
Till The End Of The Day- The Kinks
Paisley Pattern Ground- The Black Hollies
Watch That Man- David Bowie
Mr. Tough- Yo La Tengo
What Is Life?- George Harrison
Movin' On Up- Primal Scream
And Your Bird Can Sing- The Beatles
The Train From Kansas City- The Shangri-Las
Union City Blue- Blondie

Unfair- Pavement
Yeah, It's Beautiful Here Too- Superchunk
Dream Police- Cheap Trick
I Keep Singing- Them
Slip Inside This House- 13th Floor Elevators
Let It Out (Let It All Hang Out)- Los Hombres

Sing This All Together- The Rolling Stones
What Goes On- The Velvet Underground
Ping Pong- Stereolab

No Cars Go- The Arcade Fire
Big Time Sensuality- Björk
Funny Little Frog - God Help The Girl
It's Gonna Work Out Fine- Ike & Tina Turner
Long As I Can See The Light- Creedence Clearwater Revival

I wasn't too psyched to do it, especially because there was nobody in the bar when I showed up with my laptop. (Shut up, vinyl purists!) But it ended up being a super fun night with super fun people. There was some dancing, some singing and some arguing over the relevance of Rod Stewart. And two Springsteen songs because it was the the Boss's 60th birthday. 60!

So yeah, fun!
